TEA TRADITIONS caters unique and elegant events. We not only focus on making delicious food from scratch but serve it on beautiful tableware, bone china, and silver tea sets. We bring authentic afternoon tea or high tea right to your location. Although we specialize in Tea Parties, we also provide more typical catering services including buffet style events, lunch boxes, and food platters for brunch, cocktail parties, or other corporate events.

 

Tea Traditions makes it easy for you to host a beautiful event at your home, school or office. We have prepared custom menus and set ups to provide beautiful events for bridal showers, baby showers, anniversaries, birthday parties, holy communion and other special occasions. If you have a special event, we can review your requirements and build an affordable, memorable event.

 

How It All Started

 

In 2007, Tea Traditions founder Lisa Fahey and her friend Dawn wanted to do something special for their daughters. The children happened to share the same birthday and were born in the same hospital one year apart. Rather than throw a birthday party, Lisa and Dawn wanted to give their daughters a memorable experience, so they did an afternoon fund raising tea event with the proceeds and gifts going to a local shelter for battered woman.

 

The friends and their moms baked scones, cakes and cookies, made finger sandwiches, and prepared a variety of appetizers. Dawn and Lisa both had collected tea cups, antique tableware and silver tea sets, so they set up a beautiful buffet with their personal items.

 

The event was a success with attendees bringing all types of gifts for the shelters mothers and children. Another thing happened. Guests had been asking who did the catering. The guests were shocked to find out the event was put on by 2 moms and their daughters. So out of a day of giving, Tea Traditions was born.
